  1. 1:05 it only lasts for 30 days if offline, but when a Wifi network is detected, it will automatically update, so really its infinite unless for some reason you are off the grid for that long.

  2. I am a Windows phone user. Just realized how easy it is for download map on Windows phone. You just select download offline map of the country that you are visiting, and here you have it on your SD card. No restrictions.

  3. It's typical of how Google are becoming less and less intuitive these days. Years ago this used to be done via the more obvious long-press, which was well known as being the equivalent of a right-click. Now, we have all these features hidden behind weird options like "OK Maps". At least "Save Map" would be more obvious! And then there's the stupidity of the saved map deleting itself. There is an area near me where data is always poor, so I want a map of that area 'permanently'. I'm also off to Bulgaria in a couple of months. I'd like to save the area now, while I remember, but Google only keeping the map for 30 days means it would be pointless to do so now.
